iPod Price Portfolio in China
Apple Inc has announced the price portfolio for the new family of iPods in China, including the iPod Touch, with wi-fi function, which will be available next month.
Updated iPods, iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano and iPod Classic, are also available.
iPod Shuffle, with one gigabyte of memory and no LCD screen goes for 728 yuan.
iPod Nano, with a two-inch screen, starts at 1,348 yuan (for 4GB and 1,798 yuan for 8GB).
iPod Classic starts at 2,298 yuan.
iPod Touch, with its 3.5-inch screen, YouTube access shortcut, wi-fi and
finger-touch control, costs 2,698 yuan for 80GB and 3,598 yuan for 160GB.
Apple's iTunes is not yet available in China and a Chinese language typing system is not available.
iPod Nanos are expected to hit sales of 23 million this year, worldwide, and 27.9 million next year.
