The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the National Environmental Protection Administration, predict that there are more than 270 million urban Chinese breating polluted air.

In the next 13 years, 600,000 will die.

Add to that that about 20 million Chinese fall victim to respiratory diseases causedair.pollution.china.jpg by pollution and 5.5 million more get chronic bronchitis.

The World Bank estimates many more

die.

China's deputy director of the the National Environmental Protection Administration says, "Air pollution is still a severe problem in China."
