The Chinese will never lack for ingenuity.
In Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, the local community now has fire tricycles to protect them if a fire were to break out.
Fire engines cannot navigate small and narrow lanes.
Enter the tricyle...equipped with engine-driven fire pumps, rubber tubes, axes, hammers, cutters and fire extinguishers.
Other communities are hoping to employ the new design as well.
Hopefully, the tricycle will not have to be tested too often to learn if it is a feasible alternative or not.
What I wonder is what did those houses on the narrow lanes do for fire protection before this new idea.
