Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets were bounced from the NBA playoffs a week and a half ago.
The center said he had planned to have an ankle operation, then recuperate for 3-4 weeks before returning but has decided to go back to China first.
He will rejoin the Chinese national team in the middle of June to join the summer training camp.
To be sure, everyone will know he is coming back when they see the large bump sticking out of the top of the airplane.
I was disappointed, as I am sure many Chinese fans were, to see the Rockets grounded...but, what the hey, next year's coming and Yao will only get better.
