Taiwanese Parliamentarians Duke it Out
These guys AND gals are nuts. Throwing shoes, lunchboxes, water and books at one another. And don't forget the 'bitch slapping.'
The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) accused the Nationalist Kuomintang Party (KMT) of trying to introduce its election commission plan in order to derail passage of the annual budget.
Legislators climbed on AND fell off of podiums, wrestled and pulled at each other's clothes.
Apparently this is nothing new in 'civilized' Taiwan.
The annual 2007 budget being delayed is also nothing new…it still hasn't been approved.
Meanwhile, Taiwan has refused to participate in the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games unless China adds parliamentary boxing as one of the Olympic events.
Don't you wish these knuckleheads were representing you?
