Spider-Man 3 Breaks Box Office Records in 8 Asian Countries

by BBelew57 on May 2nd, 2007

Sony Pictures' Spider-Man 3 is cleaning up in the box office. In every Asian country that it opened in this week, it broke a record in opening day ticket sales.

Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand saw the highest single day sales ever, opening or otherwise.

Taiwan sales were the best ever for a weekday.spider%20man%203.jpg

Japan, Seoul and Hong Kong saw weekday records as well.

It may be the last time for Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dundst to help Sony make $1 billion…but make a billion they will.

Spider-Man 3 needs to make just $224 million to get to that $1 billion mark.

Will you be helping Sony Pictures reach that goal by buying a ticket to Spider-Man 3?

I think I'll wait for the DVD.
