Chinese Will Eat Anything
Chinese the more variety of things you eat the cooler you are. Indians think the less you eat the holier you have become.
My Chinese friends tell me that the Chinese will eat anything with four legs except a chair, anything in the water except a boat and anything that flies except an airplane.
Add to the fourlegged variety…donkey meat and to the things that fly…peacock meat (though I am not sure a peacock can fly.)
Despite worries that peacock meat might be posionous, the wild animal protection department of a local forestry bureau has confirmed that SOME species are edible.
A restaurant in China is asking patrons to try their luck. How about some Kentucky Fried Peacock?
Meanwhile, a restaurant in Beijing tied a sign to a live donkey and had it stand outside a place where its relatives, friends maybe?, were being eaten…and presumably him next.
It would be like the Koreans taking their dinner for a walk with a sign…"When I get this mutt home, I am going to eat it."
I have eaten donkey meat and it didn't do much for me…kind of tough and stringy.
