All Religions do NOT Lead to Heaven

Some teachers in a village school in India, in order to purify some low-caste students, were ordered by their headmaster to sprinkle the kids with cow urine.Godliness in this case is apparently next to cow piss. It reminds me of the drink, Calpis, that was sold in Japan. I never met a foreigner who would [...]

Hundreds of Thousands of Toads Attack Village - Global Warming?

A remote village in southwest China is under attack, according to residents, by 100s of thousands of toads.
Following a heavy rainfall, no doubt an unusual occurence caused by global warming, villagers woke up, stepped out of bed onto a floor engulfed with black, thumb-sized toads.
The villagers, not knowing what to do, locked themselves in their [...]

Interactive Map of Beijing 2008 Summer Games Torch Relay

This map is pretty cool.
It shows all the places where China plans to have the relay torch pass through….
San Francisco, the only US stop.
Nagano is the only Japan stop.
Seoul, Canberra, Jakarta….
It's too big to place here.
Great fun!
The torch.

Hen Lays World’s Largest Half Pound Egg - pic

I can't believe the Guinness people run around the globe verifying this kind of thing.
However…a hen in southwestern Sichuan has laid an egg that is 87 grams heavier than the world's biggest egg ever recorded.
The egg is 235 grams, (half pound+) about the size of four ordinary eggs.
The owner of the hen said the huge [...]

Residents Face Litter and Spitter Fines

Beijing is trying to clean up its actors…the spitter and those who litter.
Taking their cue from Singapore, perhaps, the "fine city", if a person is caught in the act…they will face a 20-50 yuan fine.
The center of the campaign will be:
1. transit hubs
2. business streets
3. Olympic venues
4. scenic spots in the Chinese capital
The aim is [...]

I have posted here before about the top ten hottest Chinese girls: Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li, and Fan Bingbing. But sometimes we wonder how the Chinese select their hottest girls.
Here’s a collection of the 20 most feminine Chinese women (Chinese translation) as selected by Chinese Good Housekeeping Magazine.
# 17 is Xu Xidi(Little S), Taiwan top [...]

Conundrum - Study Japanese or Chinese

China…Chinese…that's all we hear/read. And Chinese should be studied. It is the country of choice for the future of business.
But, Japan…has always been there…and now it's economy is back.
A sure sign that the Japanese economy is back is that more and more students are opting to study the language again.
In England, "research, conducted by the [...]

MySpace Launched in China Again

The Rupert-Murdoch-controlled social networking site, MySpace, has taken aim at China's 137 million and growing Internet users.
"MySpace China introduced itself as a 'locally owned, operated and managed company' in which News Corp-owned MySpace Inc was only one among several investors."
The reasons…an expert on Asian technology issues says…"There's no example of foreign Internet companies coming into [...]
