Need a Job? Head West!
Reports say that aboug 1.24 million college graduates in China will NOT get immediate job offers this year.
China has an answer for this, that it borrowed from the west…go west!
Beijing plans to recruit and send about 20,000 college grads to work in the rural areas to help ease employment pressures AND enhance development out in the boonies, uh, rural areas.
Last year, 23,520 college grads made the trek to work in:
1. education
2. medicine
3. agriculture
4. poverty-alleviation
sectors.
The Chinese government guarantees:
1. salaries
2. medical care
3. other subsidies
And, when businesses start expanding into western China…these grads will be steps ahead of everyone else.
The rural areas will benefit as well.
If I were a student, I'd go. How about you?
