Help Wanted - Gumshoes to fight prositution rings
A Guangzhou website, is looking for gumshoes, private investigators.
So far, 830 PIs have signed up and posted 138 notices looking for missing people.
Already, 11 people, mostly abucted children have been found.
There is a 400 yuan fee to post an online ad for a missing person and rewards are offered if an investigator locates someone.
75% of the Dick Tracy wannabes come from rural areas where kids and women are commonly abducted, then sold into prostitution rings.
Of course, kidnappers can also go to the website to see who is getting close to finding them…no?
Isn't the purpose of a private eye to be, well, um, private?
Is it good to go looking for people on the Internet this way?
