Paper Coffins are New Trend

by BBelew57 on March 7th, 2007

The Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department will introduce paper coffins.

Presently the waiting list for cremation is 15 days. Imagine…you have to get in line even AFTER you are dead.

However, if paper coffins catch on, it becomes much cheaper, faster and uses less energy to burn.

Oh…and the cost is about one tenth that of the traditional wood coffin.paper.coffin.jpg

Shoot, why not just wrap the dead guy up in the sheets they died on and haul 'em away.

Traditions do not die easily…pun intended.  Still, I am going to ask my wife to have them use a paper coffin on me…and anythin cheaper and quicker if they have it by then.

How concerned are you with how you are disposed of after you are dead?
