Best Airport in the World Named
The Airports Council International's 2006 Airport Service Quality Awards named the best airport among facilities serving 40 million-plus passengers.
Drum roll….Hong Kong International Airport received top honor.
200,000 ppl at over 90 airports were asked about
1. access and navigation;
2. connectivity;
3. airport services and facilities;
4. security and immigration;
5. airport environment;
6. arrival services;
7. value for money and
8. overall satisfaction with the airport and airline services.
HKIA has 60,000 employees and an ongoing 7 billion Hong Kong dollar expansion program to ensure they stay on top.
My experience with my Chinese friends is that they love to brag about their country. Well, now they can brag about having the best airport in the world.
What's the best airport you have ever been to?
I've been to a bus load, including HKIA, and can't say that any one airport was particularly better than any other.
