Japanese Companies Plan to Pour More Money into, Give More Authority to Chinese Companies
A survey conducted by Mizuho Research Institute learned that 62% of Japanese companies doing business in China plan to increase the money they are pouring into the country for research and development.
The same survey revealed that 57% of Japanese parent companies will allow local Chinese units to draw up spending plans.
However, how much, when and where the money is spent…75% of Japanese head offices say that Japan will decide.![]()
Nearly two-thirds (64%) of Japanese companies say they will allow their Chinese units to hire managers and determine salaries.
But…operating funds…will be determined by headquarters in Japan.
It will take considerable time for the local Chinese branches to earn the trust of their Japanese bosses.

How do you like the fact that Chinalyst is aggregating your content along with many other sites?
After all, why go to your site if all the pertinent info is on their site? (In their defense, for longer posts they could provide a clipping as does China Digital Times.) But, this often being the case, doesn’t this mean lost ad revs for you?
