15,000 more miles of oil, gas pipelines planned by 2010
China will add another 25,000 km of oil and gas pipelines to its current 40,000 km. 40,000km will reach once around the world at the equator or from the earth to the moon.
China's Petroleum Pipeline Bureau made 420 million yuan in profits last year and it is burning a hole in its pocket, provided by natural gas, of course.
The CPPLB constructs more than 80% of China's pipelines and provides over 75% of the country's crude oil tanks.
At least we know that if oil can be found on the 'lesser light' we can depend on China to provide enough pipelines to reach mother earth.
