
To do so, China says it will grant subsidies to bioenergy producing companies whenever international crude oil prices fall below the oil alternative's production costs and stays there for an extended period.
Bioenergy refers to ethanol, biochemical diesel and other products made from plants that can be used to power engines.
China is also encouraging the development of unused land for planting raw materials - sorgo, corn and sweet potatoes.
Bioenergy is sure to be big business in China and other parts of the world. Were I a kid heading off to school and had the least bit of interest in this field, I'd study it in a moment.
There is definitely a future in bioenergy.
