India's economy is growing. We all know that. The problem is that the overheated economy has no water to keep its engine cool.
I mean, India does NOT have enough real water, drinkable water, water for sewage.
According to a NY Times report:
1. Approximately two-thirds of India's 1.1 billion do not have enough water for sanitation.
2. About 45% of the country has NO access to public sewage.
3. No city in India, Delhi, Chennai...can provide water for more than a few hours a day.
4. Largely because of a lack of water, some 2.1 million children under age 5 die each year says the United Nations.
5. The World Bank's conclusion is that unless India does something about its water management, "India will have neither the cash to maintain and build new infrastructure, nor the water required for the economy and for the people."
India is growing, but in order to keep growing, even a strong tree needs to be watered. India has trouble on the horizon.
