China's Top Eight Trading Partners - Russia is number 8

hina trades with the world. Actually, China manufacturers for the world and every now and then buys something from overseas that it can reverse engineer and make on its own.

The top eight trading partners with China are

1. united States

2. Japan

3. South Korea

4. Germany

5. Hong Kong

6. Singapore

7. Malaysia

8. Russia

The Russian bear has abt. $30 billion worth of trade with the Chinese dragon.

So, what are these two countries interested in?

Two thirds of the items that Russia sends to China are made up of just six commodities:

1. Crude oil

2. Timber

3. petrochemicals

4. fish and seafood

5. potassium fertilizers

6. iron ore

China is second to the US in oil imports from Russia and Russia is the fourth largest supplier of oil to China behind Angola, Saudia Arabia and just behind Iran.

What brings Chinese businessmen to Russia is:

1. communications

2. electrotechnics

3. timber industry

4. commercial real estate

5. agriculture

6. power generating facilities

7. mineral resources

There is also a huge natural gas supply project underway to bring 60-80 billion cu meters worth from Siberia by 2011.

The Russian Economic Development Minister, German Gref pronounces that Russian-Chinese relations are on the right track.
