Many people are fans of Zhang Ziyi because she is a movie star, but I can't relate the down-to-earth with her, though.

Now, I love Zhang Ziyi... not particularly because she can make soup or anything... I just think she's hot.

However, whenever my Chinese students (of all ages) ask me who my fav. Chinese actress is, I no longer state "Zhang Ziyi"... I got too many "bu hao"s ... I don't know if it's resentment or what.

I have read a couple news stories where she was painted in a not-as-kind-as-above light... total prima donna. Perhaps the bad press woke her up to the fact that people don't like girls who are b*tches. (or boys for that matter).

She is an actress! She is beautiful, but sorry, she is not down the earth! A person who sits with the homeless, eats with them, listen to them, and help them, then I call that person down the earth person. If she shave her eyebrows, doesn't make her good person. They do whatever they have to for publicity! Anyone can learn by listening to their own heart.

zhang zi yi? wholesome? she got to the top by lying on her back! when she was just 19 or 20, she was riding middle-age director zhang yimou to ensure that she got into his films. sloppy seconds, anyone?

I do love to see her to ply her "dream role". Why not, she is a beautiful and talented actress. When she get time, she will sit with "homeless"... maybe you wish to be "homeless"...? Look, I know about being busy and famous, because I am one of Chinese top (classic, realistic and contemporary) artist and I would like to get chance to paint a theme of 20-25 painting about her and her life. She is very interesting and wort my time and my artistic' talent.
