I am sure that Toyota and Honda are glad to hear that Hybrid sales have double in the US. Acutally, it was a 140% growth.
Still, hybrid sales make up barely 1% of the US market. The good news is there is no way to go but up. About 7800 hybrids were sold in 2000. Nearly 200,000 were sold last year.
The prediction is for hybrids to make up about 30-35% of the US market w/in the next 10 years. That's a lot of room for growth.
With Toyota's Prius number one, Toyota and Japan must find this great news.
Gas prices are going to keep climbing as well.... More good news for the hybrid makers, no?
The less we depend on the foreign oil bozos the better. The quicker we become independent of them the better as well.
Hybrids are the way to go until they get the hydrogen fuel car mass produced.
What do you think?

i think its cool good for them hope they can make it and make new cars
