Samsung Q1 - Smaller is Best - Itsy Bitsy is Too Small

by BBelew57 on May 14th, 2006

In Asia - smaller is best is the motto. My Japanese friends sing this mantra to me when they pull out their 3lb laptops. If somebody could put Microsoft XP in a cell phone, the Japanese would likely buy it. Of course, nobody would be able to read what was on the screen.

This seems to be the problem with Samsung’s Q1 . It’s small and its smart. But it’s too small to work on and the price tag too much to pay just to play on.

This begs the question - just how fast can people run - sub 9 sec. for 100 meters, sub 2 hours for the marathon? How about under 20 secs for the 50 meter swim?

Well, how small is too small? Any ideas?

I think the PC makers should come up with a foldable screen and keyboard. When you are ready to go to work, you put down your cell phone or whatever…push *.project and voila! on the piece of paper you have unfolded you see a projection of your pc screen and keyboard. How cool would that be? Then, go to work.

Smaller, smaller, gone….won’t work.

Where is the line for too small?

Can anybody tell me?
