Chinese Immigrants Study US Etiquette
Well it seems someone is taking action on the subject of one of my earlier posts.
I read today of a group in San Francisco who is intent on teaching etiquette to Chinese immigrants.
It’s kind of like what SVECS is doing but on a different level.
Vida Zhang, blogger, says "Whether you’re a Chinese in the U.S. or an American businessman in China, you have to adapt. "That’s very important if you are doing business today."
I couldn’t agree more.
That is one of the aims of PanAsianBiz - to help bridge the gap between the US and Asian countries by providing info on culture and business on both sides of the big pond.
Test:
An inappropriate dinner party gift is:
A. nothing
B. flowers
C. Cookies or Candy
D. Alcohol
Vida says the answer is ….B.
Did you get it right? I didn’t. I wanted to take flowers.

Hi Bill:
Thanks for the support. Sorry for the delayed response. I left SF for Hong Kong the next day right after the April 2nd event, which was reported by The Mercury News.
I am in Hong Kong and will be back to the Bay Area in Sept. Would love to learn more about the cross culture related work you do.
