
Contrary to most responses that I get, there is a more exact answer to the question of where is Japan than "over there."
Also, Japan is not part of the Asian continent. Nor are Japanese, Koreans and Chinese all part of one country. It amazes me how many 'intelligent' people think that.

Asia is close to my heart - being that I come from the Philippines (Pacific Islander - if you want to get technical). I visited Japan, Okinawa, and Korea while I lived in the Philippines for three years. Okinawans don't like to be called Japanese either!
Yes, Japan was very crowded. I was trampled a few times at the subway station during the morning rush... :(
